Sun Jul 2nd is a Grand Celebration at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site. It’s the Site’s 167th Birthday! In honor of the Grand Celebration a special event “Through Different Lenses: Views From Two Centuries” will take place. The program includes a talk and tour of the historic house using stereoscopic views to visually transport you back in time to the early days at the site, because the rooms didn’t always look like they do today. This special talk and tour is being offered at 12pm and 3pm and there is a $5 fee per person. Reservations are suggested as space is limited. While you are there, drop in and make a whirligig to use in your July 4th celebrations! Site open 1-5pm and there is free admission to the site for the day.
