In the early 1770’s, the British repeatedly accused the American colonists of seeking independence, which the Americans repeatedly denied. It was stated that the only goal of the American uprising was to resist Parliamentary rule. This presentation will examine the ways in which colonial reluctance to separate from Great Britain was converted into firm determination to achieve complete independence. Reservation required by phone.
