Pennings Farm presents special evening pairings of jazz, craft beverage and artisan fare. The Twilight in the Garden series delivers a unique after-hours experience featuring live musical performances by local jazz musicians, a guided garden center, orchard or garden tour, and casual tastings of Pennings Farm Market’s passed hors d’oeuvres paired with a selection of locally crafted beers, hard ciders and wine. April 18: Spring greenhouse tour with guest speaker Sue Adams of Mark Adam Greenhouses. Sue will present Floral Myths, Lore & Love revealing the meanings, myths and lore surrounding flowers and will present fun facts about common herbs. Discover which herbs foretold a maiden’s future husband, eased Greek students during exams, told stories that frightened folks in Roman times and floral myths surrounding perennials and herbs you’ll be seeing at Pennings this spring. Jazz Beyond will perform free and straight-ahead jazz. Tickets $40 Future dates, May 2, June 6 and July 25.
