Goshen Historic Track is open all year round for self-guided tours during office hours. Harness Racing horses are usually training every day on the track, so you are bound to see these magnificent standardbreds at any time of day. Goshen Historic Track is a National Historic Landmark. It is wonderful to step back in time and see a world of horses, trainers and groomers in a setting that is over a century old. The Track is the oldest active harness racing track in the world.
Right next door is the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, where history comes alive through colorful exhibits and state-of-the-art “virtual harness racing” re-enactments.
The best time to come is always during racing season – besides racing in June and July, there is also the Great American Weekend that has become a favorite Fourth of July destination for thousands of people in the Tri-State area.
The Hall of Fame Race will take place on Sunday, July 3. Hall of Fame drivers will be available for autographs and interviews.
