National Purple Heart Hall of Honor

Washington’s Headquarters

Washington's HeadquartersGen. George Washington made this fieldstone farmhouse his Continental Army headquarters and spent more time here than anywhere else during the Revolutionary War. The new exhibit, “Unpacked and Rediscovered” is an interactive exhibit showing pieces taken from the museum’s vast collection. In 1850 the property became our nation’s first public historic site.
