Freedom: The George Michael Experience Kicks Off Pride Season at City Winery Hudson Valley
Big Gay Hudson Valley is bringing a brand new live music experience to City Winery this spring when it presents FREEDOM: THE GEORGE MICHAEL EXPERIENCE at City Winery Hudson Valley in Montgomery. This electrifying, immersive musical event celebrates the life and iconic songs of one of pop music’s brightest and sexiest stars leading up to what would have been the pop star’s 60th birthday this coming June.
Conceived and performed by New York pop singer/songwriter Todd Alsup, this upbeat “club music cabaret” traces Michael’s trailblazing history, weaving historical multimedia clips together with 20 of his most unforgettable hits – all sung live by Alsup. The show debuted in June 2022, entertaining a triumphant 15-week sold out run at Provincetown’s legendary Crown & Anchor, and since then has traveled across North America featuring performances in Palm Springs, Puerto Vallarta and New York.
The show runs 75 with no intermission. It contains material intended for mature audiences and is appropriate for anyone 16+.
