The first part of the George Washington Weekend celebration begins at 7:30 Sat at Lewis Park on Main Street in Warwick.
Bring your blanket or lawn chair to Lewis Park for a free, fun movie in the park. At 7:30 p.m., join a Q and A with local historians before the show to discuss historical inaccuracies depicted in Hollywood movies. Then stay for the feature film at 8:30 p.m. Concessions available for purchase.

Open House Tour of the Shingle House Complex, (7 Forester Ave in Warwick NY) including the new agriculture exhibit at the Sly Barn, the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway Caboose, and the recently renovated UAME Church. Plus get a special look inside the Shingle House, the oldest property in the Village of Warwick. See the site of our ongoing archaeological dig, and learn about the process of unearthing the story of the property.

The Clothing and Textile and the Archives Departments have been working hard on cataloging and identifying the history of the items they recently acquired. On display will be clothing and accessories dating from 1860 to 1970, carefully tended by their talented volunteers. Also view a trunk that once belonged to Warwick resident and local hero from the 124th Regiment of New York State, Captain James W. Benedict, and all its contents.
Suggested Donation $5 per person, $20 per family
