Doc Bayne will share what he has learned about the lives of the beavers in Sterling Forest. It is amazing how they live and how they change the world around them. The presentation will be about an hour and then we will find out what the beavers do in the winter by exploring their pond by walking on the ice (if there is safe ice). Find out which animals are out on a cold winter’s day and learn how to read the signs that they leave behind. Walking on the ice may be slippery, if you have crampons please bring them. (Easy 2-mile hike)
open to the public and free of charge; donations, however, are gratefully accepted.
PLEASE CALL THE PARK 845-351-5907 TO REGISTER.
