Think you have the skill and knowledge to survive an emergency, a night in the woods, or being lost in the Wilderness? Please join us for David Corrado’s 2-hour Wilderness Survival Seminar and find out. The seminar will cover the basics of wilderness/emergency survival and preparedness. David will discuss myths about fire, water, shelter and signaling; as well as provide tips on gear, appropriate clothing, and skills necessary to survive a night alone in the woods. This seminar is recommended for anyone that spends time outdoors. Bring a notebook and pen to take notes!
The trails can be steep and rocky, so please wear sturdy hiking shoes. Our hikes will include stops along the way to interpret natural and historic features. Hunting is allowed in portions of Sterling Forest State Park, we suggest wearing hunter orange or bright colors other than white during the hunting season.
