Sterling Forest State Park – Ranger Adventures
Ever wonder what types of creatures call your local pond home? Or what kinds of creepy crawlies live in the muck at the bottom of a lake? Join us at Sterling Forest for a pond study to learn more about these animals and wonder no more. The day will begin with a short hike from the Visitor Center to Laurel Meadows pond where we will net plants and mud to see what types of animals we can discover. Be prepared to get wet and muddy so wearing appropriate clothing is recommended. Ticks are abundant so remember to bring your bug spray. All are welcome, but the program is geared towards children ages 6-13. Parental supervision is required.
Registration is mandatory, please call (845) 351-5907.
Due to COVID restrictions, this event is limited to 25 participants.
