Brief Description:

General George Washington made this fieldstone farmhouse his Continental Army headquarters and spent more time here than anywhere else during the Revolutionary War. The new exhibit, “Unpacked and Rediscovered” is interactive, showing pieces taken from the museum’s vast collection. In 1850 the property became our nation’s first public historic site. Take the kids for a guided tour. The great lawn overlooking the Hudson River is a wonderful place for a picnic with the family.
