Freedom Fest
Join this special salute to our veterans with fireworks and live music by the Black Dirt Bandits at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery. Special accommodations for Veterans in attendance. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Bring flashlights, blankets and folding chairs. No glass containers, no pets, no pop-up tents, and no sparklers. Gates open at 4 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. Admission is FREE! 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery.

July 5 & 6 – Friday & Saturday
O.C. Stampede Rodeo Festival

Friday: Enjoy a day watching the Northeast’s most daring Bull Riders face off! Fireworks and live music after the tournament. Saturday: Bring the whole family for a full day of Rodeo action with Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing and more Bull Riding. Family cookout style atmosphere. Schedule of events on website. Lawn/bleacher seats are available. Pricing for adults/kids available online. Fri 5:30 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. Sat 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Orange County Fair Speedway, Middletown.

Barrely Awake Tour: Angry Orchard

Start the day off with some fun with friends and family! Join the first tour of the day at Angry Orchard. Learn the history of the orchard, the importance of cider fruit, apple growing in the Hudson Valley, barrel aging, and of course, the Cider House. Tickets are limited. 21+ over. ID is required. Must purchase tickets in advance. 10:45 a.m. – 12 p.m. Angry Orchard Innovation Cider House, Walden.

West Point Band Music Under The Stars Independence Day Celebration

Get ready for an impressive celebration of music and fireworks. Enjoy the beautiful Hudson River views while the West Point Concert Band the “Hellcats” and the Benny Havens Band all perform. Grab a blanket, bring a picnic basket and enjoy the variety of music and spectacular fireworks. Not required, but for up-to-date info and notification, RSVP at the link below. 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Trophy Point Amphitheater, West Point.

Great American Weekend

Get your slice of Americana on the historic Goshen Village green! Over 150 craft and not-for-profit vendors, antiques, exhibits, live entertainment, 5K/10K race, children’s rides, food vendors and much more. Be sure to experience the Harness Races at the adjacent Goshen Historic Track. Sat: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sun: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Church Park, Goshen.

Yoga And A Cocktail

What a way to start your day! Join Kelly Scotto for an all-level 60-minute yoga class. Held outside, weather permitting, in front of the barn. Children And Families Series: Sculptural Planters

Join us for a program for children and families and get in touch with your creative side. Use a variety of recycled materials to create unique planters that draw inspiration from the artful landscape of Storm King. Participants of all ages are welcome in these drop-in workshops. Hike: Lakeville Ironworks Trail

Walk back in time to when iron mining was “king!” Join Doc Bayne, historian, educator and President of Friends, for an easy to moderate, 2-3-hour hike exploring the 150 plus years of iron mining at Sterling Forest. Open to the public, FREE of charge. Donations appreciated. Registration is required. 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Lautenberg Visitor Center, Sterling Forest State Park, Tuxedo Park.
