Popular event encourages community to celebrate our veterans and volunteers

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus announced the details of the County’s 2021 Freedom Fest fireworks show on Tuesday. The event is set for Saturday, July 17th at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery.

“We are looking forward to hosting this family-friendly community event again and anticipate another great turnout this year,” Neuhaus said. “Freedom Fest is a great opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate, to honor our veterans and this year, to thank those who volunteered at our vaccine distributions.”

The 2021 Freedom Fest will return to its original format and will not be a drive-in event like last year. It will include a special salute to our veterans and to those individuals who volunteered at the County’s vaccine distribution events earlier this year. The event will feature live music from Hillbilly Parade and a variety of food trucks.

The gates will tentatively open at 4:00 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at dusk. Residents can purchase food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from vendors throughout the evening.

Vendor spaces (10×10) are available for a fee. For more information or to reserve a spot, contact Alicia D’Amico at adamico@orangecountygov.com.
